Kathryn | I’m working on two of my first children’s books right now, and I wish that I was better at art but I’m not.
I’m looking to get some help finishing and editing the books themselves and some help illustrating. They’re pretty Seuss-y, but I don’t want to rip off the art style or anything… vague enough? Well, if you’re interested pleeeeeease help me out?
if we can get this done and illustrated my father can help get it printed, not published, just printed for posterity xD

If you want some examples I can give you some links to some of my stuff once I get teh chance to draw and upload soemthing… As for when I’ll be able to do that…. (mumbling so self: Today? No, today will probably be busy, don’t promise today. Tomorrow? No! Not tomorrow! Wednesday? No, that’ll be as busy as today… maybe… probably. Thursday? No, that’s as bad as Tuesday) (It kinda does on like that for a bit.) So it turns out that I’m going to have a pretty busy week where all my freetime will take place where I can’t draw and upload stuff (Like right here and now) but I’m sure I’ll be able to fit in time to make something for you to see so you can know if you like my stuff.
So now that I’ve come off sounding completely unreliable, I’ll ask some questions just so I’ll know what exactly what you’re wanting. 
Around how many pictures will you be wanting?
Will they be little sketches or are you looking for high-detale “this is going to cover the entire page and it’s going to look awesome” kinds of drawings?
Will having or not having backgrounds be important?
Humans, animals, or(and) inanimate objects?
If humans is there anything I should know about the style of clothing they wear so I can start practicing? (Like it takes place in it 1800′s) |
Kathryn | I’m so obsessed with how into this you are, it gets me really excited. Well, how about this? I can send you what I have of the book and we can work it out together 
While posting this the main thing I wanted was a partner to work on it with. The one I’m mainly focusing on now has a dragon as the main character appearing in the story and it still needs about two thirds to be written. I have concept art for the dragon and I was sort of thinking the pictures would take up most of the page. I don’t think there’s going to be humans, though there might be… I’m not too sure, they might end up more creature-like (like the Whos from Seuss’s books.)
It might be a bit long, twenty pages maximum, with a picture and a few words on each page. I don’t expect this to be done, finished and on my bookshelf in two months or something xD |
