There is a Group in facebook called “El club de los libros perdidos”. I googled it, but there seems to be no international equivalent. So I thought this would be a great thing for nerdfighteria, and I founded a YP-group here:
http://yourpants.org/groups/lost-books-club

This is what it is about:

“Sometimes, you read a book [...] and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book” (John Green, “The fault in our stars”)

Or you have a book that is to good to throw it away, but it simply does not fit into your bookshelf:

You can give the book to the “lost books’ club”, so it might travel the world, making those who find it happy, thus fighting worldsuck. Just wright the following text on the inside of the cover (so everybody will see it), add a “list of homes” and follow the instructions you just wrote.

“This book belongs to the LostBooks’Club.
We encourage you to read it and ask you to turn it back to the Club afterwards by leaving it at a public place, where it will be found. Please do not forget to pack it properly, for books hate it to get wet. Feel free to enter notes, comments or blurbs. Also feel free to enter your name and place to the List of previous homes. In the meantime, good luck and happy reading.
Sincerely,
The lost Books’ Club”

I’m not at facebook, so I don’t know, what is going on in the original “club de los libros perdidos”. I hope they don’t mind, if we take their idea and make a Thing out of it.

please tell me, what you think about this.
