((I asked who suggested starting the team, and Shade pointed to Evan))

Evan froze. “M-me? Why me?”

IE: “DUDE! What kind of reaction it that?! You’re supposed to be COOL remember? That was the APPROPRIATE reaction! I’m a gangly 19 year old who can BARELY control stopping and they are referring to ME. It wasn’t my idea!”

Evan nodded. “I’m in.”

IE: “Obviously…”

Phantom nodded, “Good. Anyone who is, we’re going to meet tomorrow evening, just outside Trinity at the abandoned military outfit.”

((so im drawing everyone. And I’m sorry Kiar.. i drew Shade REALLY short. but i can’t fix him cuz its ink.. lol he’s like kid height…))

Evan nodded, excitement lighting his eyes. “Will do.”

Israel sighed. He’d never been a fan of masks and costumes. “Harder, but not by much. Just don’t be like the Green Lantern, because we can all see that he is Hal Jordan. That mask is useless.” He smiled a bit.

OOC: Out of curiosity: The Green Lantern and other superheroes have been mentioned now; are we in the same multiverse as them, or are they still just comic-book characters?

Shade recognized Israel as the jerk from earlier. Well, the fact that he had powers explained why he had been hanging out with Sli. Perhaps he had been too hard on him.

Shade looked at the girl that approached. “I’m sorry to disturb you, ‘mam. It isn’t safe here for civilians, so you should probably keep back.”

OOC: Comic books. They’re not real.

Izzy smiled. “I thought so.” He waved a bit at her. “Yeah, you too, eh?”

Shade nodded as Phantom sped off, then returned his attention to the girl. “Yeah, you too, eh?” It took Shade a minute to realize what was being said. “You’re also a super?” Shade was surprised. “I didn’t realize there were so many of us… Well. I assume you over heard us, and we could use all the help we could get.” He waited for her answer.

OOC: Should we time-jump soon?

Erika grinned, “Oh, I’ll gladly help you!” She restrained herself from jumping up and down, “I don’t know how helpful I’ll be, but I’ll do what I can!” she waved a bit back at The boy she met earlier.

Izzy nodded. “What can you do, anyway? Just curious, what can ALL of you do?”

“I’m super speedy.” Evan replied.

“Oh, um.” Erika pushed her glasses up her nose, “I’m telekinetic and clairvoyant. Which means I can see where other people and objects are and what they’re doing. And sort of telepathic, but that never really works.” She shrugged, “Im not very good at any of it though…”

Sli was somewhat relieved by the appearance of another girl. “Me, um… Well, sssnake ssstuff basssically. Can talk to ‘em too, and I turned into one once.”

Erika walked towards the military outfit, her eyes darting around. She pulled her wild mane of curls into a pony tail and raised the hood of her black hoodie, biting her thumb nail. She couldn’t help but feel nervous, and couldn’t help but think about all the bad things that could happen, all the things that could go wrong.

“Hello?” She called out softly, stepping in to the building.

Sli stood across the street from the building, scared out of her mind. She tried to take a few steps closer, but her feet felt frozen. She could see that three people were already in the building, and she was worried that they would all be a ton better than her with their powers. “Damn it, jussst do it already!” she muttered to herself. She took two slow steps forward and began to walk. She stopped outside the door and poked her head in, hoping she wouldn’t be noticed too quickly as she watched.

“Oh… Sorry…” Erika said to the Phantom, pulling her hood down, “I couldn’t find one I could wear with my glasses. And i can’t see at all without my glasses…”

She looked around at the others who’d arrived and waved a bit, smiling.

“Good to see you all could make it,” Shade said to the newcomers. “I suppose introductions are in order, for those that don’t know each other. I’m Shade, and I’ve been patrolling ever since I discovered my powers, about two years ago. As none of my powers are physical, I specialize in information gathering.” He looked expectantly at Phantom, hoping he would help carry the first meeting.

Phantom nodded to Shade and walked over, “My name is Phantom. I have two powers: muscle memory and a healing factor. Muscle Memory allows me to mimic fighting styles and moves, so it’s helpful.” he looked back to Erika, “I’ll take a look at those, I’ve got an idea about lining the eye pieces in a mask with your prescription. Anyway, “I didn’t see any of you use your powers if you did yesterday, except for you,” he pointed to Izreal, “You have some kind of pyrokenic ability? I might be a little off.” He noticed the boy looked worried about something but waited to say anything of it.

Israel nodded. “I’m, um, do I need a special codename? Cause I’ll just go by Izzy if it’s fine with you… But my power is, well, green flame that either poisons or acts as an acid, depending on what I want it to do.”

Izzy nodded. “Yeah. I believe I melted down a wall… I’d feel bad, but the buildings gone anyway.”

Evan joined the circle.

Evan grinned. “Up for that. Are we going to have a leader?”

Izzy shook his head. “I’m thinking not. Leader’s cause conflict.”

Evan glanced over. “NOt really. Nothing much has happened. Everyone just told everyone else their powers.” He shrugged, smiling.

OOC: I totally know how you feel!

Izzy nodded, eyebrows raised. “Impressive.”

“We were just discussing if we should have a leader,” Shade spoke up. “It seems most of us would rather decide things as a team.”
