I’ve read them all but the last, just haven’t got around to it. I’ve started it though, only about 30 pages in… it’s a hefty book haha.

Eragon Series*

Who titles the series by the last book, Come on :P

I have read up until Brisingr(I think thats how its semi spelt)
Though I’m in no rush to read the latest, I have heard bad reviews about it :|
Its unfortunate that as Paolini grew up his writing became more serious and educated, making it not as fun to read :( If he had kept the same way of writing that he had when he started Eragon it would have been a good series all around! The first two were good, but Brisigr was O.K., and I haven’t heard great things about Inheritance..

What do you think about Inheritance?

I read the whole series, and although i heard some people say Inheritance was not nearly as good, i would have to disagree. i thoroughly enjoyed the final book. although if long war/fight scenes are not your thing i could understand if you don’t like it. My only complaint is that a certain aspect of the book’s conclusion was too obvious, and anyone’s suspicion regarding the subject is pretty easily confirmed early on in the book through, in my opinion, not so subtle foreshadowing. but overall i am a huge fan of the series!

(i hope that’s not too spoiler-y to say, sorry if it is)

I love the series too, but I don’t have any time to read soon. Hopefully it will be a decent wrap up to the story when I get to it :)

I’ve read the whole series! I loved them all, maybe except the third one. I thought the ending of the series was pretty good. Certain aspects of it definitely took me by surprise.

I didn’t think the last one was bad. It was super stressful though! The ending was pretty good, wasn’t as surprising as I had hoped it would be, probably because of the premonition and the whole Angela profecy thing in the first book.
I liked how his writing matured over the course of the series. It made it so the books made you think more about things like religion or killing and war and stuff, but I can see how it could be annoying if one was looking for a fun read to have it go all kind of philosophical in parts.
Overall I loved the series! Kinda sad its over though :(

I love the Inheritance Cycle (lucky enough to have a signed copy of the last book). I didn’t think Inheritance was at all bad; on the contrary, I thought it was great. I really like the change and growth in maturity of his writing style as the series goes on: for me, it really reinforces and strengthens the impression of Eragon’s growth from this country farm-boy to the great half-elf warrior that he becomes.
As for the ending of Inheritance, I was a little disappointed… There were aspects of it that I saw coming a mile off. The resolution between Arya and Eragon felt like a betrayal of everything that had been set up in the book previously (trying to refrain from spoilers >_<).
There were twists and plot points that where unexpected, and I really like how he left some things open and unexplained, giving himself room to add to the series if he feels like it.
But yeah, love the series and was very satisfied over the last book. :)

I loved these books. I thought that his writing improved significantly as time went on, it kind of feels as he matured and changed so too did Eragon. I was afraid he would tie up every story and thread, but was thankfully wrong. As others have mentioned, the ending was easy to forsee, but I did not feel it took away from the series as whole, or even the book itself. I was also happy to hear he was not going to abandon Alagaesia, but would most likely write other books set there. Anyways, awesome series.

I love these books! I *technically* haven’t finished the series though (I still haven’t read the last ten or so pages).

I was so upset when I found out he was cutting the last book into two separate books! It’s like the HP7 movies all over again. The suspense!!! I remember when Eldest came out and I waited in line for ages for him to sign my copies. Totally worth it though. Too bad he didn’t come to my area this time.
