| Munk | I’ll let you do it. You magic, your curse Falling Skies is definitely worth checking out. it’s a different spin on the whole alien invasion deal. Sometimes the action sequences get in the way of plot development, but it shows promise. |

| Sheridyn | Three quick questions. Werewolves don’t have monarch, just packs right? |
| February 8, 2012 at 5:06 pm #50893 | |
| Munk | So many questions! 1) That is correct. Werewolves follow a structure that resembles tribes, and there are often multiple in an area. Some aren’t even in packs, but most enjoy being in a community. Unlike vampires, they’re not magically forced to obey any leaders—it’s good ol’ democracy (although even modern wolves tend to pick the leaders that are the biggest, strongest, and most assertive rather than those with common interest in mind), and it’s not unheard of that a particularly despotic packmaster has been forced to renounce his leadership. |
| February 8, 2012 at 5:11 pm #50896 | |
| Elexea | The packmaster has to be a man! Wolves are a little archaic XD |
| February 8, 2012 at 5:22 pm #50897 | |
| Munk | It’s probably got to do with the whole animalistic nature thing. He’ll probably be big and strong, too—them female wolves like their alpha males |
| February 8, 2012 at 9:51 pm #51006 | |
| Sheridyn | Does it HAVE to be a man? |
| February 8, 2012 at 10:01 pm #51010 | |
| Munk | I’m afraid so, haha. I’m all for equal opportunities, but the wolves don’t seem to agree. If you really wanna play a female, I could imagine that the packmaster’s girlfriend or wife might have quite a bit of influence… |
| February 8, 2012 at 10:06 pm #51012 | |
| Sheridyn | Hmm… I already had the character thought out… Ah, I know! … Silly wolves… Also, now that I think about it, I might bring her in later and stick with just Lizzie for now. |
| February 8, 2012 at 10:12 pm #51013 | |
| Munk | No problem. We’re still in the beginning of the plot, even though a lot has happened, so there should be plenty of opportunities. |
| February 8, 2012 at 10:16 pm #51015 | |
| Jet-Kyo | Who’s this witch??? the blocker stopped the second page of the IC now >< i can read this one's second page cuz it doesn't have the huge description from the first page lol |
| February 8, 2012 at 11:01 pm #51039 | |
| Kiar | The witch you’re referring to is probably my character. Rawr! |
| February 13, 2012 at 1:51 pm #53705 | |
| Jaan | Soo why isent anyone posting….? |
| February 13, 2012 at 2:20 pm #53708 | |
| Jet-Kyo | Yeah I’d love to know why. I can’t really do anything.. |
| February 13, 2012 at 2:22 pm #53709 | |
| Jaan | As I was last to post I cant really either |
| February 13, 2012 at 2:42 pm #53715 | |
| Kiar | Me neither – I’m waiting for Munk to react. |
| February 14, 2012 at 12:00 pm #54317 | |
| Munk | Oh crap, sorry guys. I’ve been offline, driving through Europe. I’m currently writing to you from a hotel room in Prague, via expensive wi-fi. You guys mean that much to me. I’ll get up a post today so you guys won’t have to wait much longer until you can start writing again |
| February 15, 2012 at 10:55 am #54953 | |
| Munk | Kiar, I love that curse |
| February 15, 2012 at 3:06 pm #54990 | |
| Kiar | Ha ha, it will be fun – as long as he doesn’t touch Alyesha by mistake! |
| February 20, 2012 at 10:41 pm #57141 | |
| Jet-Kyo | lol man, Hank is boned. totally deserves it though. |
| February 20, 2012 at 10:45 pm #57144 | |
| Munk | I’m having more fun with Hank than I’ve had with most of my characters, ever. He’s just flawed enough to be interesting, and it got him into a lot of trouble. I had a completely different path in mind for Hank, but holy crap am I enjoying this one |
| February 21, 2012 at 12:17 pm #57405 | |
| Munk | @kiar That’s up to you and your RPing style. Personally I never use a character’s name in a post until my character actually knows it (whether it be because he’s been told or overheard it). Which does give me some trouble at times when introductions never really appear, so six pages in my character will still call someone “that girl with the blonde hair” |
| February 21, 2012 at 3:08 pm #57423 | |
| Kiar | Yeah, same. I usually end up going through half the role play calling someone “the boy” or “the creepy dude” before my character gets a chance to ask them their name. I always find it amusing when other people immediately address someone else’s character by name. I just figured my use of Grover might confuse other people, but I think I’ll stick with it until Hank tells Alyesha his real name. |
| February 21, 2012 at 3:35 pm #57428 | |
| Munk | Haha, totally just imagined this guy flailing around in Alyesha’s shop. |
| February 21, 2012 at 11:26 pm #57602 | |
| Kiar | XD That would be not entirely inaccurate. |
| February 23, 2012 at 9:50 pm #58155 | |
| Jet-Kyo | for reals, kinda ticked that NO ONE IS COMMENTING |
| February 23, 2012 at 10:00 pm #58159 | |
| Munk | Woop, sorry. I’ve been busy playing Only Connect! I shall go post now. We also need to get Elexea back in the game. I shall send her an angry PM right this moment! |
| February 24, 2012 at 1:54 am #58216 | |
| Jet-Kyo | ((it’s fine with w/e you guys do, but I can’t do ANYTHING. no one else comments! so many effing RP droppers! it pisses me off.)) |
| February 24, 2012 at 2:26 am #58221 | |
| Kiar | Well we can leave the shop and/or you could come meet our guys. Maybe you would know something about Hank’s curse (?) |
| February 24, 2012 at 2:45 am #58224 | |
| Jet-Kyo | ..idk, maybe. probably. but Severin hates vauds and his son is on duty and trying to not be like “IM A VAUD”. I guess I’ll make him just like.. call it off or w/e and come bother you if no one comments. cuz seriously, WHERE is everyon!? |
| February 24, 2012 at 3:03 am #58227 | |
| Kiar | I dunno. Maybe like, the investigator guys could talk to Alyesha, cause he suspects she’s a vaud or something :/ |
| February 24, 2012 at 1:43 pm #58312 | |
| Munk | Yeah, I think it’s about time we connect the threads. With people freeballing the RP so far, we’ve got a lot of different stuff happening. What do you guys say we take a few posts to figure out how everything is connected so we have a central plot to go on? |
| February 24, 2012 at 3:14 pm #58323 | |
| Kiar | That sounds like a good idea to me. I’ll read up later and post a summary when I have more time. |
| February 24, 2012 at 4:18 pm #58330 | |
| Munk | Good idea. I’m taking notes as well. Before Elexea went AWOL, we discussed some possible scenarios for why the King would be dead. I thiiiink we should be able to squeeze everything into the plot now, but don’t you people go making up plot twists right now |
| February 24, 2012 at 6:03 pm #58358 | |
| Kiar | Alright, here goes. Richard Rousseau, the vampire king, is dead, and vauds are suspected as the most likely murderer. For most of the night Diego (ghost), Tristan (werewolf) and Elizabeth (vampire) wander around together. Eventually they are joined by Severin (ghost). Detective Rowan (human) investigates a crime scene. It is a male corpse, with its face burned beyond recognition. It’s back had been carved with symbols in sets of twelve, similar to the face of a clock. Vauds are suspected, due to other things lying around the crime scene such as chalk, the charred remains of an animal, and black raven-feathers bundled nearby. Rowan questions passersby, which happen to be the previously mentioned group of people. Tristan, Severin and Elizabeth have seen the symbols before, but don’t recognize the meaning. Howard (human) had been hired by some vauds to kill someone, which he did. The next person on his hit-list was Elizabeth, whom he unsuccessfully attacks. Smoke (vampire) kills a police officer, because he’s just a jerk like that. Then a mysterious figure, “Black Jack,” appears, and hires Smoke to do a shady job. He gives him a scroll and says a ghost named Severin will know where to find what is on the scroll. Smoke finds Diego, and questions him on the whereabouts of Severin. Jaden (vaud), who is Severin’s son, is a forensics investigator, and is at the scene of the mutilated man. And meanwhile… Hank (human) wanders into the Golden Lotus to look for a potion that can cause his wife to abort. Alyesha (vaud), the owner of the shop, agrees; but not before Hank gets himself cursed with the touch of death by inhaling a sketchy black powder. Okay… I think that’s about it. Let me know if I missed anything, and I can add it in. |

| Munk | Okay, so I’ve been torturing my brain for a while now in order to make these things fit together. I don’t have everything down yet, and there are a lot of details (such as Pierre Talon and that vaud named Sabine) that might come in handy, but here’s an overview of my thoughts: Suppose that it wasn’t the vauds who killed Rousseau. After all, while they hate each other, it rarely comes to bloodshed, and never such a high-profile kill. No, it was another vampire. Let’s call him Mr. X for now. He’s got great plans, yet doesn’t have the manpower to do it. But since vampires are bound by magic to obey their king, taking the throne would give him instant access to every single vampire in Canada. That’s a lot of people. His plan had failed, but Mr. X had no intentions of giving up. So he waited. After all, what’s three hundred years when you’re immortal? After three hundred years he felt certain he’d be able to try again, because the attack would be pretty much forgotten by then, and every single witness dead. Well, except for those whose lifespan extended past three hundred years, such as, say, a certain ghost and a certain good-looking vampire lady. Now, the vampire lady was easy to fix: Get someone to kill her, make it look like a run-of-the-mill vamp kill. That’s where Howard fits in. The ghost, Severin, however, was a little more difficult. He did need to die, but the had gone missing during the three hundred years, and Severin was the only one who knew where to find it. Before Severin was put down, someone had to get the back. So Smoke, not being the brightest vampire (sorry Jaan He ordered the murder on Rousseau. The assassin was a vaud, unaware that his killing the friggin vampire King would make it look like the vauds’ doing. Essentially, the vauds were framed, both as revenge and as a way to hinder them from stopping him. Everyone else aren’t exactly involved directly, but can easily be. Things I’ve been considering: Pierre Talon/Black Jack—could be the same person, either Mr. X himself or his right hand. Elizabeth obviously knows him, so it wouldn’t betoo much of a longshot. |
| February 24, 2012 at 11:51 pm #58476 | |
| Jaan | Just one problem Munk is that the symbols were found on a body of a random murdered person unless you are saying that that corpse was of the vampire king? And I had a theoretical plan for the scroll and all but if you want me to I can change it. |
| February 24, 2012 at 11:54 pm #58478 | |
| Munk | I think that was what Elexea was getting at with that long post. Can’t be sure, though. What’s your plan for the scroll? This isn’t a dictatorship, I’d love to hear what you’ve got |
| February 25, 2012 at 12:00 am #58481 | |
| Jaan | So this is the thing me and Jet had agreed upon So at the start of Severins career a vaud who called himself Black Jack who gave him a lot of starting money he did not want anything back for it except a favor in the future. After three years when Severin was already quite powerful Black Jack returned and gave him a strange box it seemed to glow with power. Black Jack asked him to keep it safe in a the safest place he could find. He also said that one day he or someone else will come and collect the box but to prove that they were really working for Black Jack they would present Severin with a scroll filled with strange writing on it. He showed the scroll to him and it seemed to imprint itself in his memory as he was never able to really forget it. The same writing and symbols are on Smokes sword also. And then I asked Elexela abot if those symbols could be on the body and that time she said yes… so what you think? |
| February 25, 2012 at 12:04 am #58484 | |
| Munk | I like it, there’s a lot of potential. It even looks like it might fit pretty seamlessly into the rest, provided that’s what we’re going with. I’m going to bed now, but from the looks of it there’s some great potential in here |
| February 25, 2012 at 11:04 pm #59327 | |
| Kiar | Wow you guys have got it pretty well planned out. Alyesha, being a vuad, would certainly recognize the symbols carved into the vampire king. Where will Black Jack and the box come into the story – would it have something to do with the vampire king’s death? Also, who is Pierre Talon again? |
| February 25, 2012 at 11:13 pm #59346 | |
| Munk | Pierre Talon ordered the hit on Elizabeth. Since both she and Howard seem to know him pretty well, it would make sense to have him show up at some point. Fitting Black Jack and the box in might make sense. We just need to figure out why Black Jack would need Severin to hold on to it—perhaps it was something Mr. X needed for his big takeover, but he needed to take it out of rotation for a good while, to keep it safe while he was planning his Great Plan 2.0 I’m not really sure yet, but I shall go to bed now. It is my birthday, and I don’t want to sleep it all away. |
| February 25, 2012 at 11:20 pm #59359 | |
| Jaan | If you guys want I can tell you what I planned to put in the box?
|
| February 25, 2012 at 11:23 pm #59366 | |
| Munk | If you’ve got something in mind, please let us know |
| February 25, 2012 at 11:53 pm #59392 | |
| Jaan | Well my plot point would have been that Black Jack tricked Baron Samedi in to giving him the Soulcathcer witch the Baron uses to get the souls of the dead across to the other side. So this artifact contains all the souls of dead who have ever died. Releasing those souls would destroy humanity or at least that’s what Black Jack believes. Oh and Black Jack is actually Baka a evil spirit who goal is to destroy humanity. And that would have been my plot point. |
| February 26, 2012 at 1:15 pm #59614 | |
| Munk | Who is this Baron Samedi? I don’t see you mentioning him in character. Anyway, it’s not too shabby I’m gonna PM everyone who hasn’t replied in a while to make sure they check all this out—we can’t have people complaining about the plot direction just because they weren’t here |
| February 26, 2012 at 2:09 pm #59617 | |
| Jaan | Baron Samedi is the voodoo god/saint of death: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_Samedi |
| February 29, 2012 at 6:02 pm #61099 | |
| Jet-Kyo | i like lol ima go post i guess. but one question: i don’t remember who Sabine is.. |
| February 29, 2012 at 6:28 pm #61102 | |
| Munk | Sabine is a vaud who was jailed a few days prior to the murder of Rousseau. She hasn’t shown up in the RP at all, but she might be a potential character—someone could visit her in prison in order to obtain information or something. |
| February 29, 2012 at 8:12 pm #61112 | |
| Kiar | Sounds good. I think we should jump back into the story soon – some details can fill themselves in as we go. |
| February 29, 2012 at 8:43 pm #61117 | |
| Munk | Yup, I’m kind of just waiting for a few more of those who’ve gone AWOL to reply |
