| Haley | In the old pants there was a thread where people kept count of how many pages they read that year. It was in this handy spreadsheet that automatically totaled up everyone’s pages for a group count. I really loved this idea and how it became a collaborative effort. I don’t see a thread where this has been started up again, so I figured I would do it. Here is the new spreadsheet!

| Wessel | I’m in for sure. I will do the 50 book challenge so you will probably have around 25.000 pages from me? I’ve done 869 already |

| Wessel | P.S I think we should start over this year |

| SooL | I’m in! I might not read 50 books this year, (I did it last year and it started to feel like a chore in the end) but I’m still game! |

| Aaron | If you guys think we could use a fresh spreadsheet for the new year, I’ve whipped one up at the following address. The field for total pages is already set with a formula so it auto-updates whenever somebody changes their “pages” field. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AnQvU70oWu6HdHhSZGN3RlJURk9rSUw4RXE0WkwxOGc |

| Haley | Yes! I definately think we should start over! Thank you so much for the spreadsheet! So if you guys know anyone else doing the 50 book challenge, direct them over here. And should we try to set a goal for ourselves? |

| Melissa | Last year I got to 25,000 or so, so I guess my goal would be the same or higher. |

| Sarah Squidbagel | I don’t have much to contribute yet (& only contributed like 4k pages on the last one), but I’m gonna participate anyway. |

| Faye | I took part in this last time, but I didn’t contribute very much. xD I’m trying to read more this year, so I’ll take part in this again. |

| Rhiannon | I’m actually trying to read my height in books this year (roughly 100 pages a day), so I need to get to 32,512 pages. |

| Faye | Reading your height in books is such a cool idea!! How did you figure out exactly how many pages it is? |

| Rhiannon | I tried Googling the depth of a page, but all that shows up is the length and width of different types of paper. Then there was this one article that told me the depth of A4 paper (which is NOT book paper, but you take what you can get). .05mm is how thick it is, and I’m 5’4″ (1,625.6mm). I divided that by .05mm and ended up with 32,512 pages. |
