Mallory moved to the water, not willing to put on her spare shoes just gets, knowing that soon enough she’d be atop a tentacruel once more, and the last thing the poor thing wanted was an added shaking weight with running shoes on. “I could always walk.” Mallory offered jokingly as she turned to face the group.

((Nuts, I’ll do that now.))

Mallory took the extended arm, and brought herself forward, praying that she wasn’t to fall flat on her face, or overstep her bounds and land straight into the water, her clothes had just decided to dry and she honestly didn’t want to have to get sopping agin so early.

“Go ahead, I need a new bag anyway. I’m sure your smelly shoes will do little else to ruin the bag.” She offered pushing her bag so he could reach it. “I’m sure Tien would prefer it that way.”

“For the record,” Xi said, “Gyrados holds six.”

OOC: Late post is late. But… Whatever.

Haven’t even had to pull out one of my pokemon yet. Not bad, though hopefully I won’t need to. Seems like training is on hold… for now at least.

“So… What do you guys know about these people in black that attacked us all? And what exactly happened inside while I was gone. I know there was an attack, but what specifically happened?” Dalton asked. If he could learn a bit more about the attack, then it might lead him to more clues later.

“The Baron? Who would call themselves that? Usually you’d think the bigwig would go right for a cool, important sounding name…” Team Galactic… I remember those clowns, getting beaten by children. Changing the world’s impossible. Riding out the waves, now that’s the smart way to go about it.

“Trust me kid…” Dalton said with a bitter tone, “It’s not that hard to get people to listen to you. Look at the other “Teams” like Team Rocket or Team Magma. All those people have a common goal, and all they needed was someone with a silver tongue to sweet talk them into joining their team.”

“Pretty much.” Dalton smiled. He had nothing against the people he’d worked with before, but none of them really were that smart. “Intelligent people are hard to find nowadays.”

Mallory just kept quiet and listened to the words of the boys about her. Team Rocket had been the worst issue at her age, and doing research in Unova she’d come into contact with Team Galatic, the others she had heard about, but hadn’t really seen them, or their misson as she had the others. However, she didn’t quiet trust herself to say anything and instead foucsed in the tiny shifts in the pokemon below her as it swam about the water.

Ecruteak was as it always was. The city surrounded by heavy forest, Bellsprout tower calling trainers to teat the skills of the monks. Everything seemed much older then it should have been, and really that was it’s appeal. Lancelot hung at Mallory’s side seemingly pleased at returning to the city. “My grandmother’s home isn’t far from the burned tower.” She offered knowing no one would really care. Then the house appered from the distance the two stories peaking out and calling out to her. Mallory increased her speed slightly knowing that in the past day the small group had been thrashed and beaten.

Her hand met the doorframe as she knocked loudly, and old woman dressed in a former era’s clothing opened the door and hugged her close. A few words were mumbled privately before the older woman beckoned the group inside.

The house remained the same as it had all throughout her childhood. The tables were low to the ground, the cold Weather had forced her grandmother to pull out the small heater and set it close to the table, the cushions were an ugly green plaid, and the television was easily considered archaic. “Sit, I’ll make you some tea.” Her grandmother spoke plainly to the group motioning for them to remove their shoes and take a seat. The pictures on the walls varied, and thing from Her awkward youth, to photos of her mother at dig sites. Lancelot was gone in an instant locking on to the things in the house that were all to familiar to him. “Ace, we’ll go to the center later get some medicine at the shop and maybe get some work done at the PC.”

Mallory’s grandmother appeared from outside of the kitchen, babbling in a language Mallory knew all to well. She replied carefully the words fitting awkwardly on her tongue. She looked to Ace then, shrugging her shoulders in apology for the money as she pushed a tea cup in his direction. Her grandmother had been taking some of her money every week and as she forced Mallory to save, and spend wisely, now it would be useful for her to take it back. When the small pouch was pushed in her direction, she pushed a poke ball to her grandmother. “Oren.” She offered released the small and tired Vulpix.

“Sorry about the gibberish, Ecruteak has a long standing history of well Ho-Oh and the three legendary dogs, it’s not uncommon for the older generation to speak the language of Ho-Oh. It’s a tad strange, but as is the way of the world.” Mallory shrugged as Lancelot pulled himself into her lap and took some tea for himself.

Dalton looked over the small house while the grandmother was making tea. Not a bad place to settle down, but it’s a bit too quiet for my taste… The legendary pokemon being around here was good to hear about though. Nothing was better to an eternal adventurer (What Dalton had taken to calling himself now) than myths and legends.

“Can I hear these legends? Sorry to intrude, I’m a bit of a mystery lover.” Dalton smiled. It already looked awkward enough that he was traveling with a bunch of kids, given how old he was compared to them.

Ace became interested ans sat up straight, “I think I might have seen Entei before! He’s big and has brown fur right?!” he said excitedly, “Can you tell me anything about that one??” he realized he had just been pushy, “I.. sorry..”

Ace looked on in fascination, “Volcanoes!” he laughed, “That’s soooo cool…” Ace had been putting up a very mature vibe, but he really was a kid when it came to poke’mon. They were his life, he loved it and he loved having the ranch. “THE RANCH!” he jumped up, “I’m really sorry miss.. uh.. Mallory’s grandma, but we can’t stay long. C’mon we gotta collect supplies and get to my ranch. I know we’re not aloud to carry that many pokemon at once, but I’m SO not risking this.” he felt very rushed all of the sudden, looking out the window, “..Was it this dark before?”

“Hm? What’s the matter?” Dalton asked as he saw the kids sprinting towards the door, “What’s going, why are we leaving? I thought we’d be staying the night!” I also thought I might have time to investigate the burned tower… Dalton frowned, running after the others.

“I.. I know it’s not to important, but I’m going to double back and meat you at the pokecenter. Me and Hulk can handle ourselves. Alright?” Ace said, waving to the grandmother as he left. “Or better yet, I could meat you at the tower!” he said as he started to back out to where they entered town.

As Acewent back, he only found a one man in black, easily knocking him out himself. Ace slowly made his way to where he’d seen the nest. Yes, he’d gone back to check for people, but he did want to see if he could catch a female Combee. He had a Weedle at home. having a Beedrill and Vespiqueen would be amazing! Ace slapped his forehead. He couldn’t believe he was still thinking about this as the world was in peril, it was selfish. But he couldn’t back away! as he neared the back alley, avoiding the Kakunas. He found a Combee, cooing it over to him. He slowly reached out, tapping it’s top. Suddenly, a loud buzzing came from behind him. Turning, he saw the Vespiqueen. He didn’t shake, or show any fear. It lunged, and he rolled to the side. Just the, the Vespiqueen went to stab him and poison Ace, when the Combee flew in the way. After a moment of silence, the Vespiqueen put it’s forehead to the Combee and left. Ace nearly jumped for joy, but instead just let the Combee follow him to the tower, getting cover from the winds.

As Ace got to the tower, seeing it quake, a frown crossed his face. He waited as the monks left, seeing Mallory follow them out, “Mallory!” he called over the wind. He waved and ran over, “To the pokecenter?”

“Alright, let’s hurry up then!” he shouted. As they ran threw the rain, a dark shadow passed threw the clouds. A shriek ran out as the entered the pokecenter, and as lightning flashed, you see the shape of something.. a pokemon? you can’t tell. Ace runs in and starts snagging what he can pay for, “What else do we need??”

Ace payed for his potions and full heals and pays for them, darting out after Mallory and the others. \”Alright, we gotta hurry!\” Ace began to follow Mallory, his new Combee close behind, \”I need a few extra pokeballs!\” he called, \”I didn\’t bring extra ones!\” \”combeeee\” it cheered. The shriek runs out again as the wind picked up a little more. Ace noticed a shine coming off one of the buildings. \”Hey.. Hey I see something!\” he knew it shouldn\’t be there and he ran to the side of the building. Examining it only for a moment, \”I think.. I think this is linked to the storm somehow!\” but Mallory must not have heard, she\’d moved ahead. Just then, Dalton grabbed his arm and pulled him back to the group, \”Idiot, keep moving!\” he yelled. Ace grumbled but ran after them.

As they reached the edge of the town, the storm seemed to be easing. After a while, they actually made it OUT of the storm.The rain and clouds were like a wall circling the entire area. “What.. what!?” Ace said, stopping. “..What…” He shook it off after Mallory got his attention and nodded, “Yeah.. yeah it’s a long way to johto. Let’s go….”

((Bleh. this was fun but the other people disappeared. can’t keep pokemon with two people. I need more for the plot anyway. Dead it is..))
