| January 28, 2012 at 8:55 pm #44612 | |
| Casey | I’m American, and am in year 3 of Spanish in school. Some help with Spanish would be nice, seeing as I am terrible at it. I do well on the test but I have barely passed my oral exams. |

| Tangerine | Welcome to everyone new on the topic! =D |
| January 29, 2012 at 3:39 pm #45089 | |
| Dawn Stanford | Sounds good. What format do you want it to be in? It could be a group, or a external web page, ect. |
| January 29, 2012 at 3:49 pm #45096 | |
| Tangerine | What would you think about a blogger page, where we could all blog, and present ourselves, and maybe if we hear/see a recurring mistake in our language during the conversations, write something about it to quickly explain how it can be avoided? |
| January 29, 2012 at 3:59 pm #45103 | |
| Dawn Stanford | that could work. Unfortunately here on Your Pants the groups don’t have a discussion unlike on the ning… though I don’t know many people that have accounts on both. |
| January 29, 2012 at 4:06 pm #45107 | |
| Tangerine | That’s why I was suggesting blogger, cause it seems a lot of people have gmail accounts. |
| January 29, 2012 at 4:08 pm #45111 | |
| Dawn Stanford | I don’t…… |
| January 29, 2012 at 6:55 pm #45229 | |
| Casey | @wietske Sounds good! Should we skype? |
| January 29, 2012 at 6:55 pm #45230 | |
| Sarah | I’m Austrian, so German is my mother tongue and I’m fluent in English. I learned Italian and French in school, but I forgot most of it by now… and I want to learn Norwegian, but I only know the very basics so far |
| January 29, 2012 at 7:14 pm #45242 | |
| Tangerine | If some of you want to take part in a blog, I created one here: http://sharemylanguage.blogspot.com/ |
| January 29, 2012 at 7:20 pm #45247 | |
| Wietske | @casey We should |
| January 29, 2012 at 7:24 pm #45251 | |
| Sen | I have a freind who wants to learn Japanese I’m making him lessons of the basics but I don’t really know Japanese. I don’t personally have a skype but I could ask if he does. When I do get a skype I speak French, English, & kind of Irish but I wouldn’t recomend learning from me as I have a prominent accent. I’m learning Russian, Mandrin, & well kind of Japanese to help my freind. Also Esperanto, I’m always open to new languages though, I love languages. |
| January 29, 2012 at 7:24 pm #45252 | |
| Katie | Do you have to have google for it? |
| January 29, 2012 at 8:46 pm #45306 | |
| Tangerine | Well, I guess if you find someone to teach you here… it shouldn’t be a problem. A fun way to progress in a language where you don’t know a lot of things is by asking questions and trying to guess what the other says. ^^ Yes, you have to have a google account; it would allow us to say which languages we want to learn, which languages we know, how we want to trade a language, when we are available (relative to GMT-0)… It would also make it easier for new users to take part in the project, and so forth. |
| January 29, 2012 at 9:26 pm #45362 | |
| Rita Belmi | I’m from Italy and quite fluent in English. |
| January 30, 2012 at 4:01 am #45731 | |
| Cannon | As I said before, the only language (besides English) I know anything in is Spanish, but I’m open to learning anything. So anyone with patience? |
| January 30, 2012 at 12:41 pm #45895 | |
| Rémi | @cannon If you want to learn French I can help you (and others here can too). It is a bit similar to spanish. |
| January 30, 2012 at 4:48 pm #45958 | |
| Cannon | @justdouin Sure, I’ll be willing to try! Why not? |
| January 30, 2012 at 9:13 pm #46089 | |
| Mery | Hi I’m from Mexico so i Speak spanish and english. I’m interested in learning any language basically!!! This idea sound so cool |
| January 31, 2012 at 7:27 pm #46618 | |
| Tangerine | There’s a blog open for anyone who wants to introduce himself: http://sharemylanguage.blogspot.com/ |
| January 31, 2012 at 7:49 pm #46622 | |
| Rhiannon | A group on here would be easier, but as far as blogs go, a blog on tumblr would be easier to follow than anything on blogspot. |
| January 31, 2012 at 8:38 pm #46649 | |
| Katie | I agree with Rhiannon, a group on here or on tumblr would be the most convenient. |
| January 31, 2012 at 8:55 pm #46661 | |
| Tangerine | A group here, then. Please join: http://yourpants.org/groups/share-my-language-project/ to introduce yourself! |

| Katah Kenehan | My first language is English. I am very comfortable in French, and my third language is Spanish. This is my third year in Spanish, so I am not too comfortable with it. I could try speaking with someone in Spanish, but it would be VERY limited. My French is fairly good, since I worked in Quebec full time over the summer in French, so that is another slightly-more likely option. But I would be very willing to do either or, or both. |
| March 5, 2012 at 4:11 pm #63129 | |
| Charcoal Athene~ | I love this idea! I always try to find people who speak french so that I can work on it. I’m also starting to learn spanish next year in school. I don’t have a skype, but I would love to get one just for this! |
| March 5, 2012 at 4:18 pm #63130 | |
| Katelyn Gallagher | Hello! This sounds like an amazing idea! I’m an American-English native speaker who would love to help nonnative speakers with thier English (Don’t ask me to write any thing. American written grammer is horrid!). I just have one problem… I’m learning Japanese… Anyone know anyonw who knows Japanese or is learning it? Its super hard and super fun! So, if anyone is interested shoot me a message! |
| March 6, 2012 at 5:02 pm #63530 | |
