| Safiyyah | Hello Nerdfighters, I’m currently doing a research study for my undergraduate degree in Psychology. My study consists of an investigation on the relationship between identity and self-esteem. I need participants to take the survey so that I have a enough data for my research analysis. It only takes a few minutes to complete and I would really appreciate the help. So if you live in Ontario, Canada and are between the ages 18 to 29 years old, click the link to find out more and possibly take the survey. https://queenspsych.us2.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9t2a281ci73hJ88 For those of you who choose to partake, thanks for helping a fellow nerdfighter out. | Luke | Is it only for people who live in Ontario? Like, I’d love to help out, but if that’s one of the terms..then I can’t :p |

| Safiyyah | @luke Unfortunately, it is one of the terms. My supervising professor insisted that I limit the geographic range. I very much appreciate your willingness to participate. I really wish that I didn’t have to limit the range but it was one of the few conditions for my project approval.

| Katah Kenehan | Unfortunately, I am 17. So I can’t answer the survey I guess. |

| Safiyyah | @katah Ya, unfortunately another one of my terms is that I have to use “adult” populations which is defined as 18+. |

| Kyle | I completed the survey, but I have a few thoughts that went through my head while I was completing it: 1) When it comes to a lot of the questions about ethnic pride, there was no neutral option. I, for one do not really understand the idea of ethnic pride, as I am more of a believer in individual pride. This lead to a lot of confusing choices between whether to put “Agree” or “Disagree.” |

| Safiyyah | Thanks for completing the survey! 1. Usually when I design a questionnaire, I like putting a neutral option. However, I didn’t design these questionnaires. I use questionnaires tat have substantial evidence in support of their reliability and validity. The portion of the the questions on ethnic/racial identity are from the Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measure (Phinney, 1992) and the portion of the questions on self-esteem are from Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965). They’ve been used many times to study relationships between ethnic identity and self-esteem within an ethnic or racial group. I’m contributing to the research by investigating how the relationship between ethnic identity and self-esteem differs between varying ethnic groups. 2. Sorry about that. I’ll go in and fix it. The area code is 613. |
