| Zach | I dont like music at all to be honest. If I take the music away from a song I can appreciate the lyrics. I like some musicians because of who they are and what they stand for, thanks to my step dad, but I would rather not hear their music. I prefer silence over any kind of music |

| Annie | I’m annoyed with super liberal/super femininst/super atheist/super ______ rights people. I think it’s stupid that people feel the need to hide the sex of their children from people just to prove a point about gender roles. I think that a lot of people are making a craptastically huge deal out of nothing. Girls don’t have to like barbies and boys don’t have to like tanks, but liking barbies doesn’t make you some sort of societal victim. I think a lot of atheists are just as hateful and discriminatory as a lot of “Christian” people, that they’re essentially judging Christianity on people who aren’t actually Christians at all, that they can be incredibly narrow-minded, and that a majority (or a very vocal minority) are incapable of having a sensible discussion about the subject of religion. I’m annoyed with people who insist on making science and religion enemies when scientific discovery can actually be a very religious experience. I think 99% of fanfiction is poorly written, poorly conceived, and just completely needless. I think taxes should be raised. I HATED The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Hated hated hated it. I think that native speakers should at least be able to tell the difference between you’re/your and there/they’re/their and know how to use apostrophes and commas correctly. Every single time I see plurals with apostrophes I die a little inside. I like John a lot better than Hank. … This just makes me sound like a very angry person, but I promise I’m not! |
| February 1, 2012 at 2:00 am #46973 | |
| Nina | I’m a pretty die hard capitalist. Which is rare when you are a twenty year old attending College. I’m also John way better than I like Hank. I mean as I’ve gotten into the older videos, I’ve realized that Hank is also a good video blogger and I really like his music, but I can relate to John a lot more and I find his videos way more entertaining. I’m agnostic/atheistic and frequently flip flop on whether I have a profound belief in some deity. I believe that spirituality, which to be very clear, is what I am, is not a rigid in form or structure but like sexuality is a very fluid idea. Also in that vein, I believe in some but not all supernatural occurences. I like Pirates way more than I like Ninjas. Youtube can get a little caught up in the “High Quality” camera, lighting, and editing shenanigans. |

| Faye | This is probably my 4th post in this thread. I just like complaining about things. – The ukelele is a stupid instrument. It’s only popular because of Charlie McDonnell. Some people take ukelele-playing far too seriously. I just don’t see it as a serious instrument. - I can’t fcking stand Lady Gaga. I don’t think she deserves her fame at all. Why the hell is she considered the most famous artist in the world? There are people who have been making better music than her for much longer than she has, but just because she dresses up in ridiculous crap, she gets famous. Her music isn’t THAT great and if she dressed like a normal person, I’m 100% sure she wouldn’t be as famous as she is. |
| February 1, 2012 at 11:14 pm #47457 | |
| Annie | I was literally just about to post about Lady Gaga. I can’t stand her. I think she goes out of her way to be ridiculous just for the sake of being ridiculous. Ever since the meat dress, I just haven’t been able to take her seriously. Also, I think her music is extremely overrated and repetitive. She’s become more about idiotic outfits than music, and she can’t do anything without relying on flashes and bangs to distract from her mediocrity. Also, am I the only one who thinks that Born This Way is a load of crap coming from her? She sleeps in an inch of makeup, dyes her hair to death, and is never ever seen without a costume, and pretty much is not being in any way natural. She might mean well, but the lyrics sound fake and bandwagon-y (and are also kind of completely nonsensical) and I can’t help but think that she’s just capitalizing on the gay rights movement. |

| Jerky Malloy | @anniepanda, @faye4815: I don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion to hate pop musicians. Insecure thirteen-year-olds are always the ones bashing Justin Bieber fans, after all. I liked Lady Gaga a lot until Born This Way, which was just a bad song (although there are some high points on the full album). @anniepanda again: grammatical/orthological pedantry is definitely not an unpopular opinion. There are more websites and facebook groups dedicated to privileging your third-grade English education over the rest of the world than probably any other subject. |

| Christine G | I feel like some of these opinions are popular with nerdfighters but unpopular with other people so I am confused by this paradox of what is actually unpopular… -I am a eighteen year old girl who absolutely can’t stand rom-coms…they just annoy me Yep… I also like eating dinner at what I find to be a normal hour, between 5 and 6:30. I never got how people in movies could go on dinner dates and be picked up at 8, that’s so late! I also like going to bed at a normal hour, which I shall do right…now |

| Raven | I hate babies. They trigger my gag reflex. Something about their squishy baby hands and feet freak me out. Also, they don’t look human until they are about three months old.

| Fog | I get very annoyed when people say our generation’s music sucks nowadays and how music of 60′s and 70′s was so much better. If people looked farther than pop songs and top 40 songs and actually try to find something they like they would realize that not all our music of this generation is as bad as they think it is. Not to mention there as just as good guitar players, bases players, drummers and etc. as there were in the 60′s and 70′s. (Some people today are even better. Listen to any Coheed and Cambria song if you don’t believe me.) |

| Tom | So why hasn’t this turned into a 20+ page argument between atheists and believers or something? Oh, oh I know: it’s because we’re AWESOME! |
| February 5, 2012 at 12:11 pm #49179 | |
| Munk | @tomalsoknownastom I find that in general, neither atheism nor, say Christianity, is seen as unpopular in Nerdfighteria. But then again, this thread hardly reflects unpopular opinions out there in the “real world” |
| February 5, 2012 at 12:20 pm #49181 | |
| Tom | @Munk I see, well that’s certainly a plus! |
| February 6, 2012 at 3:40 am #49662 | |
| Dustin Berthelot | I hate when teenagers use drugs because I think they should wait until they can make proper decisions. |
| February 6, 2012 at 5:19 pm #49769 | |
| Amanda | I despise the Tenth Doctor. DESPISE. I appreciate his funny bits, but ugh. |
| February 6, 2012 at 5:33 pm #49770 | |
| Munk | @kyonkichi Are you referring to Kanye West’s music, or Kanye himself? Because I like his music as well, but the guy’s a gigantic asshat. Neither are probably very unpopular opinions, come to think of it. |
| February 6, 2012 at 5:45 pm #49772 | |
| Amanda | @Munk His music! Haha. Unfortunately, people tend to focus on his personality, and ignore his music(or worse, call it bad). Yeah, he can be an asshat, though. But I honestly think he’s one of the best artists out there. |
| February 6, 2012 at 11:40 pm #49957 | |
| Rachel | @Amanda Yeah, Kanye West is amazing. I feel like a lot of…nerdy, I guess (not to put a negative connotation on the word) people are kinda hard on rap. Some of it can be quite clever, and even beautiful. Anyway, I don’t like Leonardo diCaprio. How do I know this opinion is unpopular? As soon as I said it out loud, about a dozen people jumped down my throat about it. |
| February 9, 2012 at 6:12 pm #51372 | |
| Jerky Malloy | He dislikes crude humor, but only when it’s clever. |

| Jennifer | @cggamache I agree with you about That’s so Raven – it’s an awful show, and I’m pretty sure it was offensive to women, men, black people, AND white people. It offended me, and I’m Asian. (and white. but that kind of detracts from the dramatic effect.) |
| February 10, 2012 at 2:57 am #51602 | |
| Munk | @thegoldnsnitch But that chick Chelsea was pretty goddam hot. |
| February 11, 2012 at 3:51 am #52140 | |
| Sen | @Annie I agree with all but “the perks of being a wall flower” what is that? & “john over hank”. |
| February 11, 2012 at 3:52 am #52142 | |
| Sen | @Nina I agree on the Youtube point. |
| February 11, 2012 at 3:56 am #52145 | |
| Sen | @Faye I agree completely with your fourth post! I do have a ukelele so maybe I’m a hipocryte but my Ukelele I got when I was two because I really wanted to play guitar but I was too small & then my brother converted it into having 6 stings so now it really is a minuature guitar I still have it ’cause that’s where I learned how to play & that means a lot to me and it really bothers me when people are like “Oh wow you have a ukelele like charlie is so cool-like, will you play a song for me on it” no. no I can’t. |
| February 11, 2012 at 4:00 am #52148 | |
| Sen | @christineG what are rom-coms? |
| February 11, 2012 at 4:02 am #52149 | |
| Sen | @fog agreed @tom agreed @fog have you ever seen dazed & confused? I liked that movie, when I watched I realised every generation thinks the last was beter, that’s just life. |
| February 11, 2012 at 4:04 am #52152 | |
| Sen | @DustinBerthelot I agree with your last two points. |
| February 11, 2012 at 4:06 am #52153 | |
| Sen | @Amanda I agree about Martha & Amy & MLP & lyrics, & what is that about the 90′s kid shit? |
| February 11, 2012 at 4:09 am #52156 | |
| Sen | I should have put that all in one post shouldn’t I have. |
| February 11, 2012 at 10:08 am #52190 | |
| Munk | @pruechelan Yeah, you probably should I’ve got a few unpopular opinions, but most would require lengthy explanations, so I’m gonna go with: I’m very pro-choice. Luckily that one’s mostly unpopular in the States. I think the Danish are pretty much 50/50 on the whole abortion thing. |
| February 13, 2012 at 1:04 am #53386 | |
| Christine G | @pruechelan romantic comedies haha |
| February 13, 2012 at 6:45 pm #53786 | |
| Amanda | @Sen Like…all that talk about how the 90′s were better in every way…like who the hell cares? It gets tiresome. |

| Kiar | I dislike makeup. I loath it. Wearing it us such a superficial practice. Why do people where makeup? To look pretty? I mean, come on – is humanity really so shallow? It’s a waste of time, to put it on, a waste of money, to buy it, and a waste of resources, to produce it. I really hate makeup. |
| February 14, 2012 at 1:17 pm #54326 | |
| Abreo | - I despise high heels and dresses. High heels are impractical, not sexy, and dresses look like ugly blankets. Unfortunately girl seem to love those things so I’m out of luck. - I hate tumblr so much. Maybe I’m only friends with people who participate on the bad side of tumblr but it just seems to be a lot of OK people complaining about being broken to me. I do like some of the gifs and Fuck Yeah stuff though. The Eff Yeah nerdfighters name bothers me though since they censored it. I don’t know if that’s a joke but fuck it. - I guess like everyone else here I hate Harry Potter and Doctor Who. I don’t hate them because of the actual stories or shows (I actually liked Harry Potter before I discovered Nerdfighteria) or whatever but the fans annoy me. I like a lot of things, and I reference a lot of stuff every day but thats the thing. I reference a lot of different things. I’m not a one note guy. I have multiple interests. It comes with being human and having a personality. Stop obsessing over the same shit day in and day out. It’s not that good, nothing is. - I’m an anarchist. The worst thing I think for someone to say is “it would never work out, someone would just grab power again”. I see it as a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy really. Not to mention its really pessimistic and sad-sackish to say. Just completely give up why don’t you? I don’t think we’re ready for anarchy yet, but unless people start adapting that viewpoint we’re going to keep living in a world full of power-obsessed criminals until humanity dies out. Oh yeah, and anarchy is not a synonym for chaos or disorder. It can be disorder, but it can just as easily be order and it has been before. - I don’t hate today’s celebrities. If they want to do drugs, wear next to no clothing and suck at their jobs its their choice. They don’t owe anybody anything. It’s not up to any of them to be good roll models because of their position, if we wanted good roll models we wouldn’t give them our money or attention. Even people who hate this stuff seem to participate in it anyways. - I care about the quality of television programming. I care about all of it even if it doesn’t matter. I like my storytelling to be, well, good. - Reading isn’t important. I love reading philosophy and novels and all that but its about as important as Television. The ability to read is really helpful, but actually reading for fun isn’t. - Nerdfighters are not better than everyone else. Anytime a Nerdfighter on one of these websites participates in anti-social behavior they get this whole speech about how Nerdfighters are supposed to be awesome and better than regular people. Seriously, at the end of the day we’re just a group of people who watch internet videos. There are no qualifications for being a Nerdfighter, in all actuality you don’t even have to like John or Hank or YouTube or (oddly enough) the internet. I could kill people in the name of Nerdfighteria just to piss you guys off and I would still be a Nerdfighter. Thats sort of the whole point of inclusive, not to define the group in any way that rejects people. Even if those people are not good people. I’ve even seen this in this thread. Just stop being such a damn elitist. Elitism kind of comes with being a nerd sometimes it seems. I just googled various variations on “I hate nerds” and the biggest reason it seems isn’t because we’re too awesome its because we think we’re better than everyone else. Just saying, nerds can bully. I’m ending it on my explanation of why I hate Nerdfighteria sometimes. |

| Emma | my unpopular opinions: |

| Kiar | Yay! Did you read my post (two posts up?) I basically just ranted about makeup – obviously, I don’t wear it either. |

| Reagan | - Cartoons such as Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, South Park and any other animated series that comes on in the evening sicken me. In my opinion they’re tasteless. -I HATE anime. Hate it. I have a friend who constantly tries to rope me into watching it. She’ll even rent episodes and send them home with me. I love her, I really do, but whenever she starts to gush about how much I’ll loooo000ove whatever she’s watching now I just want to punch her in the mouth. I don’t mind that she likes it, but it’s DEFINITELY NOT for me. -I don’t like Glee. Nothing about it appeals to me. -My favorite characters from the show Lost are Hurley and Ben. I wish they both would have had more screen time. -I didn’t like Kate (from Lost). Her indecisive ‘oh, I love Jack…no…I love Sawyer…but wait! Sawyer made me angry! I MUST love JACK then! …..Wait, WAIT..I’m mad at Jack now…. SAAAAWYER!’ got on my nerves. -I thought Nikki and Paolo (from Lost again) getting buried alive was a fitting end for them. -Hating someone simply because you don’t like their music or popularity or fans (like Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga) confuses me. -I wish all the CSI shows would die already. -I hate text talk. -I hate it when people update their Facebook status every few minutes. Something tells me you’re going to eat lunch whether I know it or not. -I also hate makeup. I hate that, as a female, I’m expected to wear it and if I don’t I’m automatically classified as being “butch” or something. I may not be some frilly little poodle, but that doesn’t make me a rottweiler by default. -I think Daleks are poor enemies at best. -I liked the Ninth Doctor. He was far from a favorite, but I liked him. -I think music without words is better than music with them. -I wish that people would realize that my beliefs don’t make me a monster or an uneducated hick. I don’t believe or think the way I do because someone told me to. My views are mine. MINE. Not my parents or my teachers, but mine. I don’t hate people who believe differently. -I hate the caramelldansen hip swinging, flappy-hands-on-head dance. It irritates me to no end. -While I liked TFiOS, John’s writing doesn’t particularly impress me. -I’ve never read any of the Harry Potter books and don’t plan to. They sound overrated. -Did I already mention that I hate anime? I hate anime. |

| Jess | - I don’t think Looking for Alaska is John’s greatest book, it seems to be everyone’s favourite. Not mine. Also, though I always adore John’s books, his characters always come off as pretty static and pretentious for a while, at least to me. I always grow to love them after reading on but at first, I roll my eyes a lot. - I couldn’t get into Avatar: The Last Airbender (the series, not the movie) and I tried really hard to like it. - I like Glee. I think amongst nerdfighters that is a more unpopular opinion than disliking it. The third series is pretty terrible but I generally enjoyed the feel of the show and the characters in season 1 and 2. It wasn’t ground-breaking or fantastic, but it was a nice show. I can definitely see why people don’t like it though, even if I enjoy it. - I don’t understand religion, at all. I don’t understand how people can believe in a God or Gods. It doesn’t make sense to me and I don’t think it ever will. - I used to love Harry Potter and I think the fandom put me off it. It should never happen that fans put someone off the original work but it did. - I get really angry at Moffat for ruining my favourite show. Doctor Who with him in charge is a shambles. I dislike it so much. - I am highly introverted and I get really annoyed when people view that as an uninteresting life or when they make sarcastic comments like saying ‘don’t go too crazy’ or ‘so much fun’ when I tell them I’m going to stay in and read at the weekend. They seem to find it amusing and view it as irregular that I do not wish to go out to parties or anything similar to that. I wish they didn’t feel the need to comment. - I hate Wuthering Heights. I don’t know how many of these are actually unpopular but it felt good to say them! I didn’t even think I’d be able to come up with much and then…this happened. I apparently have a lot of opinions I needed to express.

| Michael | I’m against gay marriage. I think that cigarettes should be outlawed immediately. I am for the prohibition of drugs. I thin public drunkenness should be a felony. |
