| christina | I know we’re an internet-based community, but there’s that wonderful thing called outside. It’s nice to go there. Sometimes it’s nice to stay there for a couple weeks at a time. Sometimes it’s nice to just stay for a few hours and challenge yourself physically/emotionally. I met a nerdfighter on a 30-day backpacking trip in Alaska, so I’m ignoring the all-the-gin-joints-in-all-the-world possibility and seeing who else is out there. So yeah, I guess discuss what you like to do or where you’ve been or where you want to go or places you’ve been and love and whatnot. |

| Katia | I’m in love with the outdoors. I actually live in the country, and I can’t go a single day without taking a small hike. It’s especially beautiful at night, when the world is asleep and when you can see the skies filled with stars. It’s kind of a dream of mine to go and take a trip just backpacking across the world (as insane as that sounds). I know I’ll take a big trip someday though, maybe up through Canada or something. |

| Matt | I’d like to do that sort of thing, but as I’m currently working I don’t have that much holiday to use on it. I try and go walking for a weekend a few times a year, and I also love going out on hacks on horseback. |

| Natalie | I used to live in the mountains, well for 2 years anyway. I was basically employed to chat and hike in the summers (it’s more work in the winter, but you get a free ski pass, so it kinda evens out!!). I’d love to try climbing, but I miss all the hiking and via ferrata/klettersteig I used to be able to do! There is loads of walking/hiking routes around where I live now but you have to be able to drive to get to the best ones, where I used to live I pretty much just had to walk out my front door. I also love skiing, always a skier, never a boarder though, I tried it and really could never get to grips with the whole it being strapped to both my feet thing! |

| QED | I used to do a fair amount when I was younger but haven’t done any in the last 8 years or so. The countryside is way better than the city. |

| Todd | I love to go on a good romp about when I have the time. I live in Utah too, so I can literally step out my door, walk ten minutes and find myself delving into the heart of a mountain. I often wonder if I’ll find dwarves… Haha, jk! (Sort of…) And yeah, I’m more of a spring to autumn adventure guy. Once that cold wet stuff hits I’m just like, “well! Time to do homework or something!” |

| Natalie | lol @tgreener so you’re a fair weather adventurer! Fair weather adventurers are the reason I love to hike in the rain! It’s always so peaceful! |

| christina | I guess I should answer my own question. I did a lot of canoeing and small hiking trips when I was younger, but recently it’s been mostly backpacking. I’ve done a bit of mountaineering and I really want the opportunity to try that again. I also really want to get my WFR and maybe eventually become a WEMT. |

| Todd | @natt12321 Oh I never said anything about rain. If it’s still in liquid form then it’s not considered “cold” wet stuff :3 |

| Crystal Rundall | I love to go hiking right now I live in a wonderful place to just hike into the hills right behind my dorm. However being a college student; between working and homework/class I don’t have time to get out and do much hiking. It’s been driving me nuts this year that I don’t even have the time to go down to the climbing gym on campus and rock climb. I really hope I can find time after I get my Bachlor. However I plan to be moving to the middle of the city so Its more likely that I’ll be walking the beach then hiking the hills. Not to bad of an exchange in my opinion. I love both. |

| Melissa | I live in a mountain…Well not INSIDE the mountian it’s a mountain, and you drive to the top and then it sort of goes down and halfway there’s a flat area big enough for a small neighbourhood. Yep. It’s pretty awesome. I feel like if I go outside right now, the snow will bury me and people will have to search for my body. So, inside it is. |

| Casey | I really like going camping, skiing, outdoorsy stuff, and especially climbing. I haven’t been able to go nearly as much as I would like. I go away to camp for a about a week in the summer but otherwise I mostly go climbing in a gym because I live in suburbia. While there are a lot of parks to hike and bike in, I’m not a fan unless there is something to see (I don’t view the paths around the drainage ponds as something to see). The places that I like to go are the parks downtown or parks that are out a ways from where I live and I can’t go with out my dad (my mother does not camp, ever). |

| Devina | I love hiking, but unfortunately haven’t been able to do much of it in my life so far. My family isn’t really the outdoors type and as I don’t have a car, or friends who enjoy it as much as I do, it’s difficult. However I agree with the backpacking across the world thing. I’ve wanted to do it for ages. I’d love to just take a year off of everything and travel places and hike. |
