Appearance: Pretty ordinary, she’s got long brown hair which she tends to hide behind and big chocolate brown eyes.
Personality: She’s quite outgoing, always the first to introduce herself to new people which ends up meaning that she has many aquantances but not many close friends, doesn’t let this get her down and she tries to be bubbly and upbeat as much as she can.
Powers: Chronopausation, she can pause time enabling her to do some really awesome things (pranks included) She’s not that great yet, only managing to pause for a few minutes at a time before tiring out but she’s improving quickly and steadily.
Any extra information (such as origin story): Used to live in a nice family, Mum, Dad and Sister but since her power was discovered she has been disowned.

Appearance: Black hair, olive skin, hazel eyes and thick eyelashes, a bit of a big nose, lanky. Kind of like a giraffe ¬_¬
Personality: He’s very very shy and has a stutter. When he makes a friend, he’ll try and keep them for as long as possible so he won’t have to make any new ones.
Powers: Cellular regeneration. (Chop off a limb, and back it grows ;D)
Any extra information (such as origin story): Comes from a traveller background and is used to being surrounded by a large community of people, even if he’s scared to speak to half of them. He discovered his power in a cooking experiment gone bad, when he managed to chop off his own thumb with a butcher’s knife. He joined the institute at 14 with full support from his family.

Nick had gotten up really early, having barely slept. How could he? He was about to start teaching his first class of mutants today. He had settled into his room a few weeks ago, and between trying to make it feel like home and getting his lesson plan ready, he barely had a moment to relax.

He sat himself on his chair and dug his fingers through his hair, the heightened feelings of excitement and anxiety were unsettling for him. He knew they limited his powers greatly, and although he would probably not need them today anyway, Nick wanted to be the kind of mutant that was always at the top of his game. He glanced at his alarm clock, combed his hair, went out the door and made for the classroom.

Lizzie was bored, it really was a shame her powers didn’t work in fast forwarding time as well as just pausing it. She sighed and forced herself to concentrate, and it worked, for a few seconds, she hadn’t even realised she’d lost concentration this time and was absent-mindedly doodling on the side of her paper. It seemed like an age before the clock finally ticked to the end of the lesson and Lizzie rushed out of the classroom as quickly as possible.

OOC: Kay, so should I change the age of my character so they’re all in the same year group?

Lizzie rushed into the physics classroom in her usual haze of bustling-ness, she didn’t notice that there were still people in there until AFTER she’d barged in.

“Oh my goodness, Sorry! I didn’t see you were still in here!” She gushed, words tumbling out of her mouth quicker than she could say the last one so it came out more like: ohmyudnesssorryIdidn’seeyouwerestillinhere

“Elizabeth Gowman, sir, but basically everyone calls me Lizzie, I won’t respond if you call me Elizabeth because it’s not me, ya know?” She babbled again in her crazy fast way of talking, she nodded to Liam, he was a couple of years older than her but she knew him by sight, “Hey Liam!” She waved.

Sammy walked leisurely to her next class. She was the first of her friends to have to the new teacher and was expected to give a full report when they met up for lunch. As she turned the corner, she almost ran into a little group of people blocking the entrance to the classroom. Sammy was about to ask for them to move, when she noticed that one of the people in the group was the new teacher. “Hello sir, my name is Sammy George.” She stuck out her hand to shake his.

“Right, Lizzie, plea-” Nick was cut off by a red-headed girl who introduced herself as Sammy. He shook her hand “Hey Sammy, awesome to meet you.” Awesome to meet you? Who the hell says that? I’m too nervous, a few students shouldn’t make Onyx nervous. he cursed himself under his breath. “So, what are all your abilities?” He asked out of genuine interest.

Elisa who had been up till now sitting quietly behind her desk doodling slightly said “I can turn into any animal I have ever touched.”

Lizzie turned to Eliza, “I imagine you visit lots of zoo’s then,” She laughed, and faced Sammy, “Classic,” She commented simply, “I want to spend time with you in Winter, juuuuust saying.”

Liam had stepped back from the group, growing increasingly uncomfortable. He felt obliged to answer the teacher, however. “I c-can’t show you m-my p-p-p- mutation.” He mumbled. “It’s c-called cellular regeneration.”

“What’s that when it’s at home?” Lizzie asked Liam, she wasn’t smart enough to know big and fancy words, “Remind me to be in your group of friends this winter then Sammy!”

“So if I say.. burnt of your arm, you could grow it back?” Sammy asked playfully, rubbing her fingers together to create a wisp of smoke.

“O-oh.” Liam looked a bit sad. Hardly any of the students he spoke to knew the technical term for his power. “B-b-bas-ically, I ch-chop off a body part, and it’ll g-gr-gr reform.” He explained. He looked sheepishly at the teacher. “I t-try to keep out of t-trouble, sir.” Liam looked horrified at Sammy’s suggestion. “N-no! It still hurts.”

“Uh, n-no thank you.” Liam tried for a smile, but he knew he looked awkward. It didn’t help that he held himself like a newborn giraffe surrounded by a pack of lions. His mum kept dragging him off to his Aunt Lea while he was back home, hoping to get some remedy for his crippling shyness.

Elisa looked around and then with a small voice said. “I think that would be nice.” She dident have many friends except animals like her wolf.

“I was joking! Chill,” Sammy smiled at Liam, who looked so obviously awkward. “Hey so what are we going to do today?” Do we get to start or are we just going to sit around and chat?” Sammy asked, hoping to get some action in.

“Well, I was going to have a Physics lesson with you now but we could do this instead?” She asked the Professor eagerly, it was much more interesting than anything involving things you couldn’t even see let alone touch like in Physics!

Nick started walking with the students. “Maybe Liam could work on his hand-to-hand combat.” he responded to Sammy. “How does that sound?” He asked Liam. The boy seemed to have some social anxiety, Nick hoped he’d loosen up once he got to know everyone.

“I never had any tr-t-tra experience f-fighting before. ‘m too a-awkward. Limbs a-a-all over t-the place.” Liam said. He was worried he’d be awful and the girls would laugh at him.

“I think we could all do with some fighting practice, I mean, I tend not to fight myself but it’s probably something I should learn, right?” She turned to the professor for confirmation, “It’s probably not very healthy for us to solely rely on our powers is it?”

“Seems like that’s decided then!” Said Lizzie, heading out into the grounds rather than into the Physics classroom before the Professor could change him mind and make them learn science instead.

“Yeah, sure,” Smiled Lizzie, “Want to use powers?”
